Melina Elverdal

Today we are honoring Melina Elverdal: a daughter, sister, friend, intersectional feminist, freelancer, human rights advocate, and law graduate.

Through her work with THIS IS GENDERED, she initiates conversations on how everything is gendered and what this means in terms of intersectionality.

She offers her copywriting and consulting services to individuals, human rights organizations, and corporations on subjects ranging from child sexual abuse material to gender washing.

She has had work published by the European Justice Initiative and the results of her collaboration with Suojellaan Lapsia (Protect Children) were recognized by the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse on Twitter.

She has a wide range of passions and some of her main interests include menstrual activism, sexual and reproductive health, and rights (SRHR), the right to education, and the role of gender in war crimes.

She believes that the new wave of intersectional feminism is about lifting everyone up through community building, education, and collaboration.
